Arriving at the Research Center
- The plane lands hard, launching a sleeping Luigi through the roof and face-first onto the runway.
- The group reunites outside, shaken but unharmed, and heads for the convention.
- Mario explores the grounds and meets various attendees on his way to the atrium, where Codey can be seen anxiously trying to reach his sister, Cachely.

Disaster in Gearonia!
- An alarm interrupts the convention: Cachely's distress signal has finally gone through, pinpointing her location in Valley's End, Gearonia.
- Mario volunteers to travel to Gearonia and rescue the Survey Team.
- E. Gadd and Codey suggest using the newly built high-speed submarine, but it requires an emergency fuel tank upgrade before departure.
Leaving for Gearonia
- E. Gadd gives Mario the MushPhone to stay in contact throughout his journey.
- Luigi decides to come along at the last moment, and the two brothers board the submarine with the crew.
- The group sets off across the ocean for Gearonia.
